Chapter 7 Irma
Eva (my father's sister), Marianne, Irma, Hans (My father), Alfred, 28 May 1939. They'd been in England for just 2 months, the war had not yet started.

Hanne Federmann, Irma's step-niece with her daughter in 1945. In 2022, Through a series of coincidences, I located the family in Australia and I spoke to the baby in the photo, now a senior citizen of Australia. We met via Zoom, and it was of the most remarkable moments of my family research.
Frank Stevens, Hanne's husband - the photo was taken in 1936 while he was doing his law PhD at Charles University in Prague. His original name was František Steiner which he anglicised.
Irma's writing in German from the end of 1943 where she reports on Susi's arrival in England. Susi was Irma's niece, Else's daughter.
The newspaper cutting documenting Susi's suicide. I found this via Prague's Jewish museum who gave me a family tree enabling me to find Susi's family who had emigrated to Australia.

Irma and Alfred as I knew them before they both died in 1965. Alfred in a fire at home and Irma took her life six months later. I remember them both.
